Admittedly, “Tinkering” was an excuse to play with the steam punk aesthetic, (and there could be a case made that I tinkered too much in this busy quilt), but I was trying to reference the more “manly crafts” now celebrated in the “Maker Faire” movement. I am in awe of those like my husband who love to take things apart to see how they work and put them back together better than before. Quilt Block Pattern: A variation on Log Cabin.
