Prayer Book (Open)
Text are first three stanzas of Amazing Grace by John Newton (1725-1807). This favourite hymn was requested by my grandmother to be sung at her funeral. I think it works well as a interdenominational text.
I am trying to find interesting ways to run stories in pages that could be squirreled into a tiny pocket purse or explode with an array of accordion folds from a shoulder bag. I hoped to create powerful visual assemblage of words, photographs, prints and drawings where I will continue to blend the newest digital technologies with traditional relief and lithographic processes, along with traces of embroidery and quilting.
