I wasn’t horse crazy growing up, but I loved riding my neighbour’s spunky Shetland pony, “Jake” in Caledon Hills, Ontario. I chose the quilt pattern “Garden Gate” because I always admired the horse pastures with their white fences that defined the topography of my childhood.
