I'll be among the interactive Zumba and line dancers at Leigh Square Community Arts Village, Port Coquitlam on Saturday August 25 from 1 - 4 PM to demonstrate woodcut printmaking and encourage adults to sign up for my October workshop. Should be a fun event.
Here is the first piece I made in the new studio. I am trying to finish off the second stage of Travel Stories with the Shopkeeper's Quilt, 4 colour hand printed lithography with assorted paper including foreign currency, 24" x 24" To tell you the truth, I'm not sure I'm happy with it...a somewhat troubling composition...

Tired of grinding stones, the etching process, and the smell of wintergreen? Join Julie McIntyre as she shows how to skip the hard work and get right to the play with pronto plates. Drawn images will be explored as well as four colour digital separations. She'll show you how to modify inks, correct plates, and how to print pronto plates on both litho and intaglio presses.
